George’s Sauces Celebrates 50 Years of Handcrafted Excellence
Nashville, NC – George’s Sauces, a staple in kitchens and backyard cookouts across the country is proud to celebrate 50 years of brewing, bottling, and shipping its beloved BBQ sauces by hand in small batches from Nashville, NC.
Since its founding in 1975 by George Stallings of the Stallings Brothers, the family-owned company has remained committed to delivering bold, authentic North Carolina barbecue flavors that have become a tradition for generations of sauce lovers. Today, the team personally pours, packages and ships over 4,500 bottles of George’s worldwide.
For half a century, George’s Sauces has stayed true to its roots, crafting high-quality BBQ sauces with the same care and passion that began in a small outdoor garage in Nashville, NC. The original recipe, created by George Stallings in 1975, remains unchanged to this day.
The company still produces the same three signature sauces: Original, Hot, and Special. The Original and Hot varieties embrace quintessential Eastern NC BBQ flavors with a vinegar base, while Special is a tomato-based sauce that draws on more Western NC-style flavors.

Each day, George’s pros personally pour, package, and ship over 4,500 bottles worldwide from their family farm in Nashville, NC.

The team firmly believes that this dedication to craftsmanship preserves the quality and consistency of their sauces, a commitment that customers have counted on for decades. It’s rare that a globally shipped product can claim that it is handcrafted & homemade, but it’s just as rare to have a passionate crew with a work ethic like the less than 20-person George’s team.
“We are incredibly grateful for the folks who have supported us throughout the years,” said Ashley Hassell, Co-Owner of George’s Sauces.
“Their loyalty and love for our sauces have allowed us to continue doing what we love—making delicious, small-batch BBQ sauces that bring people together. We firmly believe you can taste the difference that our dedication makes, and we consider ourselves blessed to have such a loyal community think the same.”
