Quick Spicy Caprese Salad

Hot

What You’ll Need!

  • 1/2 cup balsamic reduction (feel free to make your own by reducing balsamic vinegar!)

  • 1/2 cup George’s Hot Sauce

  • 3 ripe tomatoes (we reach for Romas!)

  • 12 ounces fresh mozzarella, thickly sliced or roughly chopped

  • Large bunch of fresh basil leaves

  • Olive oil, for drizzling

  • Large pinch kosher salt

  • Large pinch freshly ground black pepper3

Let’s Get Mixing!

1. When you are ready to assemble your Caprese, cut your tomatoes into thick slices. Arrange them on a platter, alternating them with the mozzarella slices. Tuck the whole basil leaves in between the tomato and cheese slices.

> Psst.. If you’re tossing this together for a quick appetizer, don’t worry about the fancy arrangement! Roughly chop your Roma tomatoes and toss them with your store-bought mozzarella bites in a large bowl. Add in your roughly chopped (see: hand-torn) fresh basil!

2. Drizzle on your mix of balsamic reduction. Stir in your George’s Hot to your heat preference level. Then drizzle olive oil in a thin stream over the top. Finally, sprinkle on salt and pepper. Enjoy!
