George’s Grilled ‘Gus (Roasted Asparagus)

What You’ll Need!

Seasons & Spices

  • 1/3 cup George’s Original BBQ Sauce (For extra kick, swap with George’s Hot!)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • Salt & pepper to taste

Veggies & Meats

  • 1 lb of Fresh Asparagus, Trimmed

Let’s Get Grilling!

  1. Whisk It Up! In a small bowl, whisk together George’s Original BBQ Sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside to let those flavors mingle.

  2. Prep Your Spears! Rinse and trim the tough ends off the asparagus. Lay them out on a baking sheet or plate for easy coating.

  3. Get Saucy! Drizzle half of your BBQ sauce mixture over the asparagus. Toss until each spear is coated in that George’s goodness!

  4. Grill Time: Heat your grill (or grill pan) to medium-high. Place the asparagus directly on the grates or a grill basket. Grill for 4–6 minutes, turning occasionally, until tender and slightly charred.

  5. Brush & Serve: Remove from the grill and brush with the remaining BBQ sauce mixture for a bold finish. Serve immediately alongside your favorite grilled meats or as a standalone side dish!
